Solid masonry and stone construction naturally support good thermal and acoustic performance. Thick, dense walls provide thermal mass—storing and releasing heat slowly—and block sound between rooms and from outside. Thermal Performance

Masonry and stone walls have high thermal mass: they absorb heat when it is warm and release it when it is cool, smoothing out temperature swings. Insulation (external or internal) improves U-values and reduces heat loss. We design wall build-ups to meet German energy regulations (e.g. EnEV, KfW, Passivhaus) and your comfort goals.

Acoustic Performance

Heavy, solid walls and floors reduce airborne sound transmission—between rooms, between floors, and from outside. We pay attention to wall and floor mass, junctions, and flanking paths so that acoustic performance matches project requirements. This is especially important in multi-storey and villa projects.
